Time in their lives

It was late, Luna was returning from a concert; waiting for  the bus endlessly, there were many people waiting. London was covered in fresh white snow; she was in  Fulham and it was very beautiful.

But the bus was not coming…

She asked a man nearby: ‘If it is 11 at night, then that  must be the midnight sun… ‘Indeed!’ he replied.
The pale sun was low and its young sunrays were illuminating the curved peaks, bathing everything in sunlight, playing with the shadows…

Scenes such as these touch the heart forever…

And the bus was not coming…

Luna looked around certain that tonight something would happen. Up to now all had been fine, but then she realized she was inside a fence, it was a ranch.  Elena arrived and asked if she wanted a passage; as she was about to reply, the bus arrived.

Luna said goodbye and got on…

Inside the bus it was crazy, as it spiralled up and down senselessly; she felt the bus was going to smash with the oncoming one; she got ready to jump from the window.

Running down the road fast to catch a train, it was slippery, running down the hill worrying to miss the train, but also it was a scary place…down, down along that long road, so steep and cold; trying hard not to fall down… She had proper gloves so she could hang on to fences, she was also wearing proper shoes…

She reached a crossroad… where she saw a man running for the train too who said: ‘I am in a hurry, let me pass!’ She let him go after nearly crashing onto him. Remembering where she left her gloves she picked them up, one was white, one black. On the last turning, she got into some mud, which got inside her boots…

Feeling so wet and muddied…

Crossing a bridge, a beautiful bridge, there was an Oriental woman on it who didn’t believe they were on that bridge, Luna suggested standing higher…

Looking out they saw how beautiful the city’s lights were at night, feeling so privileged to be there, at that time in their lives…
